Many Health Benefits of Acai

I found a long list made by Jodi M of other great health benefits of the Acai berry:

-Antioxidants contained in the berry boost the immune system and protect from free radicals that can cause cancer

-Acai is said to make women more fertile

-Acai can improve eyesight, insomnia, and cardiovascular health

-Acai may reduce inflammation

-Acai is perhaps most popular for its great skin care benefits. The oil in Acai has anti-aging effects and does wonders when it comes to moisturizing the skin. Many soaps, hand sanitizers, lotions, and cosmetics are adding Acai to their products because it revitalizes the skin making it look healthy and fresh.

Acai Weight Loss

Today I heard about a weight loss pill containing Acai that claimed to be a miracle pill. I looked into this because I have had bad experiences with weight loss pills in the past, and I didn't want to try them until I knew there wouldn't be harmful side-effects. I found that the only side effect of the pill is what makes the pill so effective: loss of appetite! Acai is a strong appetite suppressant but literally has no other side effects. My advice would be to research any weight loss product before using it, but Acai seems to be a good one.

My Acai Blog!

Lately I have been hearing so much about this "Acai berry" that is so powerful and good for you, so I decided to do some research and figure out what everybody is so excited about. I'll be posting new information as as I find it over the next few weeks.

I'll start by sharing a little bit of background information I found about the berry. It comes from a tree in the amazon rainforest where indigenous people have been enjoying its health benefits for centuries. Along the banks of the amazon, farmers would harvest the juice of the berry and drink it like water. They were known to drink up to 2 liters of the juice every day! To this day, people in the region add Acai juice to just about everything, including ice cream, sweet candies, and even liquor.
